Visiting Friends

Our friends, the Wilsons, were in Singapore this week and we had a lot of fun exploring with them.  Ana Katherine and Charlie came with their mother, Fran, for their Spring Break while Fran had meetings here in Singapore.  They stayed on Sentosa the beginning of their trip which meant easy access to all the adventures that the island of Sentosa had to offer.

We joined them on some of these adventures including the Mega Zip Line and the Luge, both of which were huge hits with all five of us Virklers.  We started off by taking up the ski lift to the top of the Sentosa "hill".  At the top we hopped on our luges and took an exciting race down the 600+ meter track to the bottom of the hill where we jumped off and got back on the ski lift to do it again!  Some of us were definitely faster drivers than others with Drayton winning the Mario Andredi award.....

After the Luge we headed to the Mega Zip Line, 450 meter long zip line that starts 72 meters up the jungle canopy of Imbiah Hill.  We each were hooked in and zipped at almost 50 kmph down to the sand of Siloso Beach below.  Definitely a thrill and got the adrenaline pumping!
