Well we officially landed in Singapore at 1:15am on Friday, August 1st. By the end of Friday we had signed all documentation for our new condo, the moving trucks had delivered our sea container contents and we had unboxed everything and found a place for almost all of it.
So far - a few tears from Ella who is still coming around to concept of moving, although the new window seat in her bedroom helped improve her attitude. A few tears from me as I tried to get my arms around what needed to be done and what was ahead of us. A few tears from Sumner and Henry because - well, just because they were fighting with each other! Haven't seen Drayton shed a tear yet but the week is still young and someone might drive him to tears yet!
Lunch on the condo floor with no furniture to sit on (and no napkins or a garbage can) has made us realize that one of our first stops today will be to find a kitchen table and chairs and sofa and a TV - the last a requirement of Drayton's. But first we will celebrate Sumner's 10TH birthday this morning - will move our luggage from the hotel to the condo and unpack his birthday presents and then celebrate with him! Hopefully furniture shopping was tops on his list of things to do for his birthday!
