Jerseyfield 2015

We headed to Jerseyfield Preserve on the 13th of July and I'm not sure which one of us was the most excited.  Our trip there is probably the highlight of the year, regardless of where else we've traveled that year.  An amazing piece of property with so many places to explore, so many memories to recount and so many family members with whom to share the experience results in a very, very special place.

This year we were joined by Aunt Ashly, Uncle Andy, Logan, Hunter and Grayson along with Jeff, Karen, Sam, Morgan and Morgan's girlfriend Sydney as well as Dillard, Adrienne, Stark and of course Great.  The best way to document the trip is through pictures so here's a large group of them....

First Requirement - a stop at Green Acres for Ice Cream (and check in with Great to see if she needs anything before we enter the "woods")

Ending the evening with a dance party!

Our first morning in JF we headed out to explore on the bikes - we looked like quite a collection with all the bikes along with Great's Prowler.

After exploring the woods each morning, the afternoons were spent on Jerseyfield Lake where the water temperature was amazing - warmer than I ever remember it being (although that still doesn't make it "warm"!).  Over the course of the week, almost everyone attempted to ski (even the old folks!) and the jet skis were a popular distraction as well.

Evenings were filled with important activities like grape-throwing contests, cocktails, dance parties and birthday hat parties (celebrating Great's 91st birthday!).

How you know it's been a fun day!
